Planning and Zoning Commission
Commission Role and Responsibilities
The Deadwood Planning and Zoning Commission is comprised of five members who are appointed by the City Commission for five-year terms. This commission serves as an advisory body to the City Commission on matters of land use and planning policy. Their areas of focus include, but are not limited to, reviewing zoning amendments, overseeing annexations, considering requests for variances, evaluating conditional use permits, developing master plans, recommending ordinance revisions, and assessing tax incremental financing (TIF) proposals.
