Thomas M. Blair (Term 1984 - 1989)

Thomas M. Blair (Born January 8, 1945) was a Nurse Anesthetist, owner/operated of several businesses in Deadwood, Gaming Manager at several Deadwood gaming establishments, as well as Deadwood Mayor.  Tom was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota and spent his formative years in Groton, South Dakota.  He attended Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota completing his degree in Nursing.    He then entered the Army as a Lieutenant and retired as a Captain.  He married Linda (Hanson) Blair in 1966 and had 4 children.  Tom moved his family to Deadwood in the fall of 1978 and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital.  He was part of the "Deadwood You Bet" committee that led the movement to bring legalized gaming to Deadwood.
