The City of Deadwood Parks, Rec and Event Department is accepting applications for a full-time Recreation Center Manager.  DUTIES include, but are not limited to, the day-to-day operations, coordination, and management of the City Recreation & Aquatic Center, its programs and activities; implementing Parks, Recreation and Events Department procedures, routine and preventative maintenance; and other related operational duties with an emphasis on the organization, coordination, and management of all aspects for general upkeep and operation of the City Recreation & Aquatic Center.  Works under general supervision of the Parks, Recreation and Events Director, but supervises all full-time and part-time rec center employees.  QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Must possess a valid South Dakota Driver’s License.  Two years’ experience in a position requiring listed certifications, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must possess managerial skills and assist in the planning, organizing, coordinating and scheduling of all adult and youth events, activities, and programs, as well as the ability to train personnel and maintain safety within the facility.  Maintenance skills preferred.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  The following certifications are required: Certified Water Safety Instructor or equivalent, Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Lifeguard Instructor and Lifeguard Training, CPR and First Aid.  Certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment.  Pre-employment drug testing is required.  Starting wage is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, 40 hours per week with benefits.  Must comply with residency policy.  For further information, please call Randy Adler at 578-3082.
