Northern Hills Alliance for Children
A non-profit organization created to provide affordable, secure and healthy child care and educational services to families with young children in the Northern Black Hills.
4‑H is a community that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Kids complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
Historic Deadwood Carnegie Library
The Deadwood Public Library aims to provide a wide range of information and materials to meet the needs of our community and those with a passion for the history of Deadwood. We also strive to deliver a high level of service to help those with computer needs. The Deadwood Public library encourages a thirst for knowledge, lifelong learning, and provides a comfortable environment in our beautiful Carnegie Library.
Deadwood Recreation & Aquatic Center
The Deadwood Recreation & Aquatic Center is committed to providing high quality and diversified fitness, recreation, social, and educational opportunities through an established and reliable municipal leisure facility. Guest expectations will be met with responsive service in a welcoming atmosphere. By promoting recreation and wellness, the DRAC strives to enhance the quality of life for the community.
The Hearst Free Library was presented to the City of Lead and its residents on behalf of Phoebe Apperson Hearst, wife of mining magnate George Hearst, on December 25, 1894. The original collection had hundreds of foreign language books to accommodate the vast and varied ethnic groups that populated Lead during the Homestake Mining Company’s heyday. Today, the library is a warm and welcoming presence on Lead’s Main Street that serves more than 30,000 patrons annually.
Lawrence County 4-H Sharp Shooters
Recognizing the importance of introducing safe and responsible shooting sports to the youth and insuring that hunting and shooting traditions and opportunities remain intact, the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance was formalized. YSSA has become a central location for equipment needs for youth shooting and hunting programs across the country since 2007.

Lead Deadwood churches joining together to put on summer Vacation Bible School. Location is the Manuel Brothers Park. Free for any kid Pre-K (potty trained please) - going into 5th grade. Light meal served by local churches.
